Dennis Miller on O'Reilly

Caught a small glimpse of O'Reilly factor last night. Dennis Miller was on for a small portion....absolutely hilarious!! I think he referred to our congressional participants as "Speaker Walk" and "Vice President Chew Gum"

GOP and Sex

"The worst sexual double standard in politics right now is that too many subconsciously believe Republican women are void of sexual desire altogether." Meghan McCain

I won't even get started on this issue but McCain wrote a great piece.

Bush Administration Lawyers

I just read an article on CNNpolitics.com about a group of progressives who are in attempts to have "12 Bush administration lawyers disbarred for their roles in crafting the legal rationale for so-called enhanced interrogation techniques that many view as torture."  Are these people serious? Can they honestly sleep at night knowing that they are trying to take down some of the smartest, highly recognized lawyers, yet not bat an eye at the fact that Obama and his administration have made it quite clear that closing GITMO is a priority? At what point are these attorney's more of a threat or danger to our country then these F-ing terrorists???? I've read so many liberal blogs that are defending Pelosi talking about how we need to stop point fingers. Well there ya go Dems....right back at ya. STOP POINTING FINGERS and focus on the real issues.
P.S.  As the New York Post said in a article yesterday I believe, (not sure if that source is accurate) the swine flu is not over and it is still a major concern right now. While I hate to even mention his name I found a quote from Bill Thompson who is running for mayor right now in NY, stated "We went from 'This is a crisis' to 'Don't pay attention' to 'OK, it's a crisis again.' " While there is a particular reference to that statement about the Mayor's handling of the swine flu, the Mayor is certainly not to blame. Try using more negative campaign efforts Thompson, see where it gets you.

Obama Commencment: Notre Dame

Teleprompter does wonders for the President. Overall, decent speech, I'll give credit when necessary, even though I still think half of what comes out of his mouth is irrelevant. At least during his commencement speech, we didn't have to hear what his "bottom line" is every other sentence. Surprised to see only one person escorted by police.  Overall, not a bad speech, however, at what point did Notre Dame really think it was appropriate to give him and honorary degree???

GOLF

The rain is really screwing up my ability to g0 golf!!!!! It has been raining the past 3 or 4 days and forecast has rain all weekend. YUCK. Next best thing....watch it on tv!

FDIC

Senator John McCain posed a very important question this morning on Twitter. "Head of FDIC assures banks they are too big to fail - What about small businesses, are they too small to save?" Great question Senator. Now the real question is whether or nothing something will actually get done.

Double Standard

I don't normally like to generalize an entire group because its unfair, however, why do Democrats insist on using the racism card whenever anyone talks about immigration?? This is sooo irritating. This is a bit of a rant but..... I feel like Democrats are so concerned with what Republican's are saying, and what we [conservatives] stand for, that they don't even have anything original to say themselves. All we can do is agree to disagree. While things such as gay marriage and immigration are hot topics right now, we are basically not allowed so to speak, to have have opposing ideas. The second you say you believe in a traditional marriage your considered a bigit/homophobe. If you even attempt to say the word immigration, already you are considered racist.
For a party who is so insistent on equal rights and freedom of speech, at what point are Republican's/Conservatives not allowed to have an opinion as well? While I don't necessarily agree with Miss California, she has had to answer to unnecessary havoc. The poor girl was asked a question that first of all was not even fair compared to the rest of the questions asked, however, she answered it with her most sincere beliefs at steak. Bottom line is, if the Perez Hilton's and Janeane Garofalo's of the world want to talk shit, they need to get that facts right first and stop being so hypocritical.

The View

"Michelle Obama will guest-host 'The View' on June 18. Ahhh, the genius of the Obama campaign-- putting a mean-spirited woman with a tendency toward politically stupid utterances on a national stage with a group of women whose sole purpose is to utter mean-spirited, politically stupid things.

She will help interview guests and "banter" with co-hosts. I can't wait."

(I took that verbatim from http://townhall.com/blog/MaryKatharineHam)

Photo Shoot

“Those of us who manage the public’s dollars will be held to account— to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day— because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.” President Barack Obama (Taken directly from whitehouse.gov)

EXCEPTION: Air Force One $250k for photo shoot over Statue of Liberty

HELLO IS THIS GUY SERIOUS???

TIME

There is something wrong with this picture. So Time magazine put out the 2009 Top 100 Influential people. While I am well aware that everyone is going to have a different opinion about what is actually considered influential. However, I personally find it kind of sad that among all of these great people, they have to go and add Baitullah Mehsud. I know a lot of people would disagree with me however firmly believe that we need to be more optimistic. Why even give the satisfaction to anyone associated with terrorists or al-Qaeda by jacking up their morale. Secondly, while I haven't thus far agreed with President Obama on very many things, the one thing he has already done is sending missiles in Mehsud's training camp, three days after being in office. (According to time.com)
In addition, how the hell can someone like T-Pain be even the slightest bit "influential"??? Seriously, we have better things to read about than the fact that T-Pain helped create the Auto-Tone device or that the Jonas Brothers are even on the list at all. Priorities...
